Novak Djokovic reached a historic milestone with his 100th career win at Roland Garros, defeating Cam Norrie in the fourth round of the 2025 French Open. He becomes only the second man to achieve the feat at the clay-court Grand Slam, joining Rafael Nadal.
2 June 2025 — Roland Garros
Novak Djokovic continues to etch his name deeper into tennis history, becoming only the second player ever to win 100 career matches at Roland Garros after a dominant 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 victory over Cam Norrie in the fourth round on Monday.
With the win, the 24-time Grand Slam champion joins Rafael Nadal—who amassed 112 wins at the French Open before retiring in 2024—as the only men to reach triple-digit match wins at the clay-court major.
Djokovic also becomes just the third man to record 100+ wins at a single Grand Slam event, following Nadal (Roland Garros) and Roger Federer (Wimbledon and Australian Open).
Men with 100+ Match Wins at a Single Grand Slam:
Roger Federer: 105 at Wimbledon, 102 at Australian Open
Rafael Nadal: 112 at Roland Garros
Novak Djokovic: 100 at Roland Garros
Among women, Martina Navratilova (120 at Wimbledon), Serena Williams (108 at US Open), and Chris Evert (101 at US Open) share similar elite status.
Djokovic, remarkably, is the only player—male or female—with at least 90 wins at all four Grand Slams, a testament to his longevity and versatility.
Djokovic’s Career Grand Slam Wins:
Australian Open: 99–10 (10 titles)
Roland Garros: 100–16 (3 titles)
Wimbledon: 97–12 (7 titles)
US Open: 90–14 (4 titles)
Djokovic was in control throughout his match against Norrie, needing just over two hours to advance. Despite briefly trailing 2-0 in the second set, he responded immediately—holding at love, then breaking at love—to regain momentum and never looked back.
The Serb now boasts a perfect 19-0 record in fourth-round matches at Roland Garros.
Awaiting Djokovic in the quarter-finals is No. 3 seed Alexander Zverev. The pair have met 13 times, with Djokovic leading the head-to-head 8–5, including 3–1 at Grand Slams. Their only clay-court encounters were split:
Zverev won the 2017 Rome final, 6-4, 6-3
Djokovic won their 2019 Roland Garros quarter-final, 7-5, 6-2, 6-2
Their upcoming match will be their first clay-court showdown in six years and promises another intense battle.
